ant to savor a little history?
You can do just that on
Jan. 26 when Bellatrix
Restaurant hosts a dinner featuring
wines produced by Stags' Leap Wine
Cellars, one of the California estab-
lishments that rocked the French-
dominated vinicultural world by
producing the winning red at the
1976 Judgment of Paris.
"We will offer two whites and
three reds," said Julian Gastelum,
Classic Club's Director of Food and
Beverage. "The wine will be available
for order that night only with special
pricing for guests."
Starting at 6:30 p.m., the $95
evening will include shrimp ceviche
and melon prosciutto appetizers, a
smoked salmon salad, a pork belly
first course and a pepper-seared filet
entrée, plus Belgian chocolate gelato
for dessert. All will be paired with a
separate Stags' Leap gem.
"I'm most thrilled about the pork
belly with herb hominy and Califor-
nia chili powder paired with the
Hands of Time Blend," Gastelum said.

Uh-oh…
If you have yet to make plans for
an evening to celebrate you and yours
on Valentine's Day, now is definitely
not the time to procrastinate. And you
can't go wrong with a reservation to
Bellatrix Restaurant's Valentine's Day
Dinner, taking place in the award-
winning eatery's main dining room
on Feb. 14 starting at 5:30 p.m. (The
final reservation time is 8 p.m.)
"This is a great place to spend
Valentine's Day due to the atmos-
phere of our property," said Julian
Gastelum, Classic Club's Director of
Food and Beverage. "Guests won't
see homes or anything else like that
through our windows, since we sit in
a preservation zone. Instead, in the
evening everyone enjoys the view of
the stars and moon, as well as the lit
trees on our golf course."
The interior décor, Gastelum
added, will include "folded bur-
gundy napkins in the shape of flow-
ers. We'll also have special menus
created for the evening, which will be
placed at each table setting."
Although the dinner menu has not
been finalized, there will likely be
steak, surf and turf, and chicken op-
tions. Chocolate panna cotta also will
be served, along with a variety of
wine, beer and liquor.
