n ALBUQUERQUE BALLOON FIESTA DELIGHTS LOCALS, VISITORS ALIKE
T
o witness the biggest event of the year in Albuquerque, New Mexico, all
you needed to do was look to the sky. The 46th Albuquerque International
Balloon Fiesta took place Oct. 7-15, drawing more than 80,000 locals and
visitors to an area the span of 54 football fields, to enjoy hot air balloons of all
shapes and sizes, plus plenty of other activities and entertainment options.
Nearby Sandia Resort & Casino has been an official sponsor of the Fiesta for
more than two decades, and its stage in the center of Main Street featured na-
tional anthem performers, local dancers and a variety of musical acts.
"Balloon Fiesta is a great way for organizations to be involved in a beloved
event," said spokesperson Amanda Molina. "It's the state's largest tourism event,
and recognized as the world's largest hot air balloon festival."
