R
ising with atypical fervor in a
game generally reserved for the
big box store boys, PXG continues
to swing against the grain with
astounding success.
A mere three years removed from its
founding and just two-plus years since sell-
ing its first club, the Scottsdale, Arizona-
based club maker is becoming a game-
changer in the world of golf equipment.
Launched in the fall of 2014 by GoDaddy
founder and self-described "golf fanatic" Bob
Parsons, PXG (Parsons Xtreme Golf) was
begun not to make money, but to engineer the
best golf club possible.
Backed by its colorful CEO's unique vision, the
company's business model eschews the traditional
rules of the equipment game. Not restrained by the typical golf
club business models of creating and selling clubs at high-volume with the pressure of price
points and product release cycles, PXG's crew is freed up to make innovation its key focus.
"I founded PXG because I believed if the normal constraints of time and money were re-
moved from equipment design, development and the manufacturing process, incredible ad-
vances were possible," says Parsons. "Turns out I was right."
