l EQUIPMENT OB SPORTS GOLF & LEISURE x FALL 2017 And the sleek look of PXG's product echoes Parsons' confidence in his clubs. Provided with a design manifesto to be "sexy," PXG's elite products – cen- tered on its irons – are crafted to look like a blade, perform like a cavity back, launch higher, feel soft but solid and present a distinguishable aesthetic. With three collections of irons available, PXG's patented technology matches a super-thin face with a structural ther- moplastic elastomers (TPE) material. PXG's clubs are all 100 percent cus- tom-fitted and available via select, high- end club fitters, elite distributors and a fast-growing mobile fitting program working with choice country clubs. Now serving customers in 38 coun- tries, PXG's enhancing global presence includes an exciting new relationship with select OB Sports-managed private venues, which will see PXG's Master Fitter's mobile program arriving onsite to provide custom-fittings. "PXG is thrilled to partner with OB Sports to deliver a world-class custom club fitting experience to golfers at their home golf courses," says Parsons of the new relationship. Players with a slightly lower handi- cap index than most club members have fronted the company's visibility. After first signing five-time PGA Tour winner Ryan Moore to a player contract in the spring of 2015, PXG's touring pro stable has increased to 17 players, including two-time major winner Zach Johnson, former world No. 1 Lydia Ko, Pat Perez, Austin Ernst, former FedEx Cup champ Billy Horschel, Masters champion Charl Schwartzel and Christina Kim. "Tour validation is important," says Parsons. "We've signed some of the best talent in the game to put our equipment in play because, at the end of the day, it's all about performance. With wins on all three major U.S. tours by our small professional staff, the message is clear: PXG is for real." And for those aiming to someday join the touring ranks, PXG's new Univer- sity Program could prove a key feeder system for the burgeoning company. Inking a new relationship with six top college programs, the clubmaker is in- vesting in both the men's and women's game with an eye toward future PXG players on the PGA and LPGA tours. << Watch!
