Finding a course that your participants are eager to play will increase your player count and fundraising potential. An often overlooked option for a tournament venue is a private country club. "Most people's perception is that in order to host a tournament at a private club, you have to be a member at the club, which isn't true," said Holly Redheffer, National Sales & Marketing Administrative Director at American Golf. "American Golf's private clubs are open to host non-member golf tournaments on Mondays." With private clubs as a viable option regardless of membership, tournament organizers have more choices available for their events, along with several benefits that can only be found at a private club.
