ith its close proximity to the ocean and cooler
climate, San Diego is a popular place to visit
during the summer. The mild, balmy conditions
are ideal for playing golf from sunup to sundown.
American Golf manages six courses in the San Diego area
that offer golfers everything from championship tracks that
host competitive events to executive layouts perfect for
players who are new to the game.
You can check out all six courses in this edition of the
Insider and see what each has to offer as well as what makes
them unique. And if you live in the area – or are planning a
visit this summer – we invite you to stop by for a round of
golf and some great weather.
If tournament golf is on your calendar this time of year,
then you don't want to miss one of the other features in this

This annual golf jamboree features seven tournaments at
American Golf-managed courses, with the $170,000 Long
Beach Open on July 28-31 serving as the grand finale.
