F
or the sixth straight year, Classic
Club will host The Warburton
"Golf for Kids" Celebrity Golf
Tournament set for March 6-13.
The tournament, founded by actor
Patrick Warburton and his wife, Cathy,
will feature a week full of festivities di-
rectly benefitting the St. Jude Children's
Research Hospital.
Warburton, best known to fans for
his role as Puddy on the TV series
"Seinfeld," credits an experience at one
of football great Jim McMahon's golf
tournaments as the catalyst for starting
his own tournament. He met someone
from St. Jude's at the event, was invited
to read to the kids at the hospital, and
quickly became enamored with its mis-
sion. Combine that with the fact that
close friends of the Warburtons have
had children with serious health issues,
and the Warburtons knew they had to
do something to try and help. Enter
The Warburton Celebrity Golf Tourna-
ment, 5K Run, Songwriters Night, and
Jam. All of the festivities will be held at
Classic Club.
"We are thrilled to be hosting The
Warburton Celebrity Golf Tournament
again this year," said Greg Rubino,
General Manager at Classic Club. "One
of our foundational missions is to help
charities help themselves, and hosting
this tournament couldn't fit better with
that vision."
Rubino is on the tournament's Board
of Directors, and says that being able to
contribute to the event from two differ-
ent angles is a great benefit – for both
logistical and motivational reasons.
"Because I'm on the Board, I'm able
to hear the passion and eagerness be-
hind planning this event, and I'm better
able to communicate that passion to the
staff at Classic Club," he said. "At the
end of the day, the Warburton family,
Board of Directors, and all those execut-
