What is your job title? Greenskeeper.
What does your job entail? Maintaining
the rough, bunkers, greens, tees, and any-
thing else needed from me to get the
course in its optimal condition.
How long have you worked at Classic
Club? Almost 4 years.
What do you enjoy most about your
job? Even though it is one of the toughest
jobs out here, I enjoy working on the
bunkers.
What is your greatest strength on the
job? I think I do well in mowing roughs. I
like the way they look after I'm done mowing them!
What is it like to work in an industry that people usually assume is more
male-dominated? I'm very proud of my work, and proud to know that I can do
any job that the men I work with can do.
What is your motto on the job? Always do your job with a positive attitude.
What is your greatest achievement? Learning how to drive the larger mow-
ers, because I was terri!ed of them when I !rst started working here.
What do you like to do outside of work? I love to relax at home and once in a
while go shopping.
One thing people would be surprised to know about you? Given my small
stature, people are surprised that I can handle the large mower so well!
What is your job title? Sous Chef.
What does your job entail? Cooking,
prepping, making orders, and calling
companies to order supplies.
How long have you worked at Classic
Club? 8 years.
What do you enjoy most about your
job? I enjoy when the customers and my
associates say they like my food!
What is your greatest strength? I think
I'm good at making soups and specials,
because I'm good at using extra food in
creative ways so nothing goes to waste.
What's one thing people don't know about your job? Everyone knows
everything I know! I train a lot of our new employees, and I'm always sure to
tell them all my secrets.
What is your motto on the job? Just try it, and trust me!
What is your greatest achievement? My family. I've been married 38 years, I
raised four beautiful daughters, and now I have 10 grandkids. And best of all,
we all have great relationships.
What do you like to do outside of work? I enjoy working around my house,
going to church with my family, and going out to eat.
One thing people would be surprised to know about you? I keep thinking
it's getting close to retirement, but as long as I'm healthy, I want to work.
