A full slate of charity events is set to kick o the season
T
he new year is off to a terrific start at Classic Club with
dozens of charity golf tournaments on the calendar in the
next few months and the golf course in superb condition
after a successful overseeding this winter.
It has long been our mission at Classic Club to help
charities help themselves by assisting in raising funds
for their respective causes through both golf tourna-
ments and gatherings at Bellatrix Restaurant.
Events slated over the next few months range
from the Loving All Animals rescue shelter to the
Palm Desert High School Foundation, and from the
National Multiple Sclerosis Society to the Scholar-
ship Foundation of the Pacific.
Perhaps one of the most impactful charity golf tourna-
ments coming up is the Patrick Warburton Celebrity Golf Tourna-
ment, set for March 12-13 to benefit the St. Jude Children's
Research Hospital. Last year, this event raised $1.12 million for St.
Jude's, and we're proud to be a part of the event again this year.
Finally, our congratulations go out to Assistant Golf Shop Mer-
chandiser Miriah Garcia, who was chosen as our 2015 Employee of
the Year. It is employees like Miriah who make Classic Club a spe-
cial place to work and to play golf, and we couldn't be happier to
recognize her efforts. You can read more about her, as well as up-
