The course will hold a qualifying event, where participants will attempt to reach the final qualifying stage, before the 122nd playing of U.S. Open championship at The Country Club in Brookline, Mass., on June 16-19. SATURDAY, MAY 14 Griffith Park group ventures to Palm Desert The Griffith Park Golf Club, established in 1915, is a group of golfers dedicated to providing members with exceptional tournaments where they can meet other golfers, enjoy friendly com- petition, and build new rela- tionships. SATURDAY, MAY 21 One-Day Series swings into Classic Club An event on the Southern California Golf Association's One-Day Series schedule will take place at Classic Club on May 21. The One-Day series features an affordable tour- nament experience for members of all skill levels to compete at premier courses in the region. SUNDAY, JUNE 5 Fundraiser benefits Indio organization Daryll's House will hold its annual golf tournament at Classic Club on June 5. The purpose of the Indio corpo- ration is to form a commu- nity-based organization with a goal to assist those seeking recovery from addiction. Proceeds from the event will help cover the continuing cost of maintaining the op- eration of a facility. CLICK HERE for more information. SUNDAY, JUNE 19 A Classic set for Classic Club The US Am Tour will hold its Father's Day Classic at Classic Club on June 19. The 18-hole stroke-play championship is open to all current players on the tour. Entry is $160 per player and includes green fees, cart, use of practice fa- cilities, trophies, scoring and a player prize fund. A taco bar lunch will be included after the round. CLICK HERE for more information. SATURDAY, JUNE 25 Heat is on for Summer Golf Tour Returning for another sea- son, the La Quinta Summer Golf Tour will hit the fairways at Classic Club on June 25. The 13-week golf tour allows participants to play at Coachella Valley's finest courses and includes men's and women's flights. The recreational tour is open to the public.
