Practice with
a purpose
When you hit the practice
range, always have a purpose
in mind. Don't just beat balls
for a of couple hours into the
open range. Have a specific
target you want to hit to-
ward, and continue picking
out targets you want to at-
tack throughout your session.
STAYING IN SHAPE

Get into a
stretching
routine
The golf swing can be hard
on your back and other parts
of your body, so it's impor-
tant to take at least 15 to 20
minutes to stretch every day,
whether you're playing golf,
going to the range or just sit-
ting at your desk.

Explore the
mental side
of the game
The mechanics of the golf
swing are important. How-
ever, many golfers overlook
the mental side of golf. There
are a lot of good books that
cover this aspect of the
game, and could improve
your mindset when playing.
SHORT GAME

Score with
your wedges
Not every shot is going to be
perfect, and you'll often find
yourself in situations where
you miss the green. Improve
your short game so that
when you find yourself in
one of these situations, you'll
be confident with your
wedge and can give yourself
a shot to get up and down.
MASTER THE BASICS

Go back to the
fundamentals
It never hurts to have a re-
fresher on the basics. Smith
said when his swing feels off,
he always thinks about GASP
(grip, alignment, stance, pos-
ture), which reminds him
that these are the key points
to a good golf swing and that
they need be correct before
executing the swing.
