T
here is no shortage of golf
courses in the greater Las Vegas
area, from expensive resort
tracks to more moderately priced
munis. But it's a safe bet that there isn't
a more complete golf facility than
Angel Park. Located about 13 miles
west of the heart of the fabled Las
Vegas Strip, Angel Park includes two
championship-length 18-hole layouts, a
12-hole par-3 track, and a 9-hole put-
ting course.
"Angel Park is the most versatile golf
experience in Las Vegas, if not on the
entire West Coast," says Director of
Sales & Marketing Jed Francese. "There
is an option for any level of player at
any time of day. We are not your stan-
dard 18-hole golf course facility. There
truly is something for everyone. It's a
place you can bring the entire family."
Regardless of its golfing options,
Angel Park prides itself on its consis-
tently player-friendly conditions, and
each of the four golf choices offer
views of both the Las Vegas Strip and
the surrounding mountain ranges.
The two 18-hole options include the
Mountain Course and the Palm
Course, both designed by Arnold
Palmer.
The par-71 Mountain is the longer
of the two and features scenic views
of the Red Rock Mountains and some
challenging forced-carry options.
Built in 1990, it's reflective of a
more traditional layout that includes
a fair share of testy par-4 and par-5
holes – with a few twists thrown in
