GAME ON!
n OB SPORTS TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE IS ON THE LINE IN LAS VEGAS
L
ook out Las Vegas, here they
come! A contingent of teams
from around the country is set
to swing into the city Nov. 10-12, in
pursuit of one goal: winning the OB
Sports Team Championship.
Now in its 11th year, the national
tournament will take place at Angel
Park Golf Club. Eight-player teams
from OB Sports-managed public
courses throughout 15 states will com-
pete in a two-day event that features
plenty of fun and competition.
High Meadow Ranch, a club from
Magnolia, Texas, will attempt to win
its fourth team title, having captured
the championship in 2016 for the third
time in seven years.
"We have a lot of good players
here," said High Meadow Ranch Gen-
eral Manager Cody Spivey. "Plus, we
always get pretty amped up about
being out there because it's an away
match for us. In Texas we don't have
the casinos and hotels so that's always
a huge draw for us, as well as being
away from our club and having the ca-
maraderie and fellowship of our team.
It's just a fun time for all of us."
To compete in the event, loyalty club
members at OB Sports' publicly man-
aged properties have to qualify in tour-
naments at their home clubs. When
they arrive on Friday, Nov. 10, they'll
play a practice round at Angel Park or
Durango Hills, participate in the Trav-
isMathew bus experience, and attend a
welcome reception.
Teams will stay at the Red Rock
Casino Resort & Spa and competition
will take place on Saturday and Sun-
day. Play will be followed by lunch
both days and an awards ceremony
after the final round on Sunday.
