WHAT'S NEW
taylormade m1 & m2 drivers
tour performance
for your game
t
aylorMade drivers were used by more
winners on the PGA Tour in 2016 than any
other brand, and recently put into play by
Tiger Woods upon his return to the competi-
tive stage at the Farmer's Insurance Open.
The updates the company has given the lat-
est version of its metalwoods has put some of
that tour player performance into the hands of
everyday golfers. By enhancing its materials
and design, TaylorMade says its M1 and M2 driv-
ers deliver improved launch conditions, increased
personalization and more overall forgiveness.
"TaylorMade revolutionized the golf industry with
one of the lowest spinning and best performing clubs on the
market, and now they have taken these drivers to the next
level," said Joe Judd, District Manager for Utah-based Uinta Golf
Shops. "The 2017 models will provide golfers more functionality than ever
before, so each golfer can find a setting to maximize their performance."
The M1 driver has a thinner carbon crown but now contains more carbon in the
head. This leads to greater consistency on shots that aren't struck squarely on the face.
The lower center of gravity also means that balls struck on the face's center come off
hotter in terms of trajectory and ball speed. Additionally, the new T-Track allows for 64
percent more center of gravity movement, providing much more control over launch
conditions. The draw-biased M2 driver, which sits closed at address to help eliminate
fade spin off the tee, benefits from similar technology, while featuring a sunken sole
shape that allows for a 7 percent larger face and a retooled speed pocket to help shots
that aren't hit squarely minimize spin and not lose ball speed.
