n BIKE & BREW FESTIVAL RETURNS TO THE FAIRWAYS IN ARIZONA
N
ot even an early morning torrential downpour could dampen the enthu-
siasm of those participating in the third annual Bike & Brew Festival held
August 26-27 at Sedona Golf Resort. And following a brief delay, more
than 200 competitors cycled the fairways in this mountain bikes-only affair.
"We love hosting this event in Sedona, an area that's known for its mountain
biking community," said PGA General Manager Jeremy Hayman. "With divisions
for all age groups, lunch and a beer tasting featuring our favorite breweries, it was
a great time to bring the family out, have a picnic and enjoy the festivities."
The event kicked off on Friday night with bikers taking part in a group ride
prior to that evening's competition. The festival carried on into Saturday and by
the time the main race started, the skies had cleared to make way for bikers tra-
versing the 5.5-mile loop around the course.
