hones have been ringing
and online inquiries stack-
ing up, and now, finally,
one of the Pacific North-
west's most celebrated new golf
courses will be able to accommo-
date overnight guests.
The Inn at Gamble Sands is now
taking reservations, with an antici-
pated grand opening sometime be-
tween mid-August and early Sep-
tember. If the glowing reception
that the David McLay Kidd-de-
signed golf course has received
since its opening two years ago is
any indication, the Inn will offer
guests a stay unlike anywhere in
the region.
"As we made the announcement
that the Inn at Gamble Sands was
coming, the inquiries poured in,"
said General Manager David
Christenson. "We are excited to
offer lodging that will be the same
caliber as the golf experience."
With 37 oversized rooms in-
spired by the majestic surround-
ings of the Cascade Mountains
and the Columbia River, the Inn at
Gamble Sands offers a spectacu-
larly serene escape.
It also allows golfers a chance to
enjoy a multi-day getaway at the
remote resort, where the nearest
lodging option previously was a
30 to 45-minute drive away.
Stay-and-play packages will be
offered, with optional add-ons such
as dining, turn-down service, wine,
chocolates, flowers, programming
activities or even another round.
"We look forward to servicing
our guests not only for golf and
dining, but also being able to get to
know them better as they stay on
site with us," Christenson said.
"The guests will enjoy the Gamble
Sands experience even more as they
relax in their rooms and take in the
incredible views."
