alk show host and on-course
broadcaster David Feherty is
currently on tour around the
United States sharing experiences
from his storied career, and recently,
one of OB Sports' own had a chance
to participate in the festivities.
Dennis Palmer, General Manager at
Arizona National Golf Club in Tucson,
was enlisted as the Master of Cere-
monies for Feherty's show at the Or-
pheum Theatre in Phoenix on Feb. 3 –
and it was a night he'll never forget.
"Monday night, February 2, I got a
call from Rick Price, Golf Operations
Manager for the Southern Chapter
PGA here in Tucson," said Palmer.
"He asked, 'What are you doing to-
morrow night at 7:30?' And just like
that I was asked to be the emcee and
introduce David Feherty."
Some 24 hours later, lots of research
and discussions with key players to
prep, and a quick meet-and-greet with
Feherty at the VIP party before the
show, and Palmer was on stage intro-
ducing Feherty, making announce-
ments for the theatre, and promoting
various upcoming local events.
"With changes and additional infor-
mation coming in until about 120 sec-
onds before I was supposed to go on
stage, it was an exciting experience,"
said Palmer. "But once I was finished,
I got to enjoy a fantastic show that I
would pay to see again and again."
Feherty has several shows left on
his tour, with dates around the coun-
try throughout 2016.
