Spring ushers in a host of activities at Classic Club
S
pringtime is upon us at Classic Club, and our guests and
employees are getting ready to wind down another great
golf season in the desert before the summer months arrive.
On the course, charity event season is well under way. We
just wrapped up a successful Tim Venturi Cancer Blad-
der Awareness Golf Tournament, at which we not
only spread the word about this lesser-known dis-
ease, but also were privileged to honor the late
Rancho Mirage resident, professional golfer, and
longtime broadcaster Ken Venturi.
At Bellatrix Restaurant, wines are the name of
the game right now, and we're lucky to hear from
our Food and Beverage Director Ruan Krugel in this
edition of the Classic Club Insider, as he walks us through
several of his favorite wines this season.
Also in this edition, don't miss an extensive listing of all the
charity golf tournaments coming up at Classic Club, a detailed
guide for outfitting yourself from head to toe for the start of the
spring golf season, and a highly informative Q&A with PGA
Teaching Professional Jason Smith.
We wish you the best this spring season, and hope to see you
soon – maybe for Mother's Day brunch, the Desert 2-Ball Chal-
lenge, the Troon Challenge Qualifier, or for a relaxed night at the
restaurant after a day at the course.
