Since the start of her tenure at Classic Club in the summer of 2013, Garcia has risen in rank and responsibility as she's proven her exceptional work ethic, golf expertise, and customer service skills. Now the Assistant Golf Shop Merchan- diser, Garcia was recently chosen as the Employee of the Year for 2015. Here, she shares a little bit about what she loves about working at Classic Club, and what she likes to do on when she's not working. What does your day-to-day job look like? I maintain the Golf Shop, make office orders, receive inventory, and assist guests. What is your favorite thing about your job? Being able to use my creativity when I'm put- ting together displays and help- ing with promotions. What is your favorite thing about Classic Club that has noth- ing to do with your job? Bellatrix Restaurant! I love the food. What do you like to do outside of work? Spend time with my boyfriend, work out, hike, and play with my cat, Cypress. One thing people would be surprised to know about you? I was a tap dancer for more than 10 years growing up! What is your greatest achieve- ment? Receiving the Employee of the Year award is definitely one of my greatest achievements. On top of that, I'm proud that I've been able to start a career I love and make it on my own. What does it mean to you to be working in what's often seen as a male-dominated industry? I actually don't really think about that on a day-to-day basis. One great thing is there's not much drama around here. What does it mean to you to still be working at Classic Club? I love working here. This job has allowed me to grow, both per- sonally and professionally, and it's also taught me so many skills needed to advance my career.
