W
hen the organizers of Girls Golf Day at Pa-
pago Golf Course called the Sept. 5 event
the biggest day in the history of girls' golf in
Phoenix, you know it was a Big Day.
Hundreds of girls from across Arizona partici-
pated in the event under the direction of LPGA
Girls Golf National, which asks each Girls Golf
chapter to hold one mega event each year.
Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton declared the day
"Girls Golf Day."
The event featured free instruction, as
well as a tournament, games, vendors,
