SANDPINES GOLF LINKS
Sandpines Golf Links in Florence
was awarded the "Best New Public
Course in America" by Golf Course
Magazine when it opened in 1993,
and it's been exceeding expectations
ever since. Designed by Rees Jones,
the course naturally integrates the
crystal clear lakes and expansive
pine forests of the area.
The 7,190-yard links-style course
is home to year-round playing con-
ditions and plenty of wildlife, from
deer and blue herons to bald eagles
and even black bears.
Holes 16-18 is Sandpines' signa-
ture loop, wrapping around a giant
lake for a picturesque finish.
QUAIL POINT GOLF COURSE
Quail Point Golf Course in Med-
ford boasts 75 acres of beautifully
manicured greens. A nine-hole
track, Quail Point is the ideal desti-
nation if you're looking for a shorter
course with a lot of character.
The first hole begins the round
with the course's only blind tee shot
with an approach that plays over a
creek. But once you've made it past
the risky opener, it's eight more
soothing holes ideal for those sim-
ply looking for an enjoyable round.
And don't forget to take a swing
through the property's unique 18-
hole putting course – it's an ideal
way to cap off your golf adventure.
