popping up all over
the country, as an

to host a Golf Digest school.
And with one-on-one in-
struction, intensive swing
evaluation and video analy-
sis, and on-course playing
lessons, the Golf Digest
Schools at Chardonnay is a

Here are a couple of ways
you can prepare in advance
to make the most of your
visit:
>> Complete the comprehen-
sive player profile.
The player
profile allows golfers to detail
their golf background and
game goals, so instructors are
ready for them before they
ever set foot in Napa. Filling
this out in advance through a
form players can access once
they sign up ensures that
every moment of the lesson
is productive.
"We design each program
around players' goals," said
Wood. And then, because
each program has been
catered to each individual,
"you'll have a customized
'game plan' for continued
improvement at the end of
the school."
You'll also have a better
understanding of what to
practice, how to practice and
the proper methods for play-
ing your best on the course.
>> Practice … but not too
much.
Golf Digest instructors
advise students not to over-
practice prior to attending.
"We recommend you wait
until you get here and learn
the proper way to practice
and play," said Wood. "If you
have a regular fitness routine,
that is acceptable."
Holding back from playing
too much in advance will en-
sure you're not burned out
by the time you attend Golf
Digest Schools, so that your
mind is open and you're
ready to soak up lots of great
golf knowledge.
