Nearly 5,000 charity tournament rounds are played annually at Classic Club, which was
developed and donated by the
H.N. and Frances C. Berger
Foundation. For Rubino, the experience has been gratifying.
"Being a part of the Foundation
has been a big part of my eight
years here," Rubino says. "It's
something I look upon fondly."
Rubino says having the right
people involved in a charity golf
tournament is the key to success. A diversified group that
draws on their own connections
in business is what's needed to
attract event participants.
Hosting an event at a course
with experienced staff is also important. The goal of the Berger
Foundation is to give back to the
community and its charities,
which translates into more funds
raised at Classic Club events.
