Classic Club's unique status helps benefit many charity groups
t's a new year and we're excited at Classic Club about
what lies ahead in 2014. The golf course is in fantastic
shape following our fall overseed and we're ready for a
great golf season filled with great charity
events benefitting some worthy causes.
One of the most fulfilling aspects of
working at Classic Club is our ability to
make a real difference in the lives of
others through our unique status as a
non-profit operation.
Classic Club, run by the H.N. and
Frances C. Berger Foundation, is able to
offer charity golf tournament organizers significantly reduced green fees, which in turn helps the charities generate more revenue for their causes.
One event that I am particularly close to is the Patrick
Warburton Celebrity Golf Tournament benefiting St. Jude
Kids, which takes place at Classic Club March 1-2. The
event raises funds for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
and I am honored to serve as a tournament board member.
It's a wonderful feeling being able to make a difference.
