How summer aerification helps
ensure pristine conditions

s the sun shines brightly over the
lush greens at Classic Club, golfers
are squeezing in their final rounds
before the course closes temporarily for
summer aerification. But fear not, golf
enthusiasts, the brief farewell will lead to
more of the same top-notch course
conditions that have become a staple at
Classic Club.
While golfers may feel the pinch of
missing their beloved course from July 10
through August 31, the closure will allow
the Classic Club team to perform other
essential maintenance tasks as well. These
include heavy topdressing of the greens,
slicing and verticutting all surfaces, and
sodding out Bermuda grass areas.
The aerification, designed to enhance the
course's long-term health and playability, is
a crucial part of the maintenance plan.
