Director of Sales Carly McGarry
earns recognition for her efforts
T
he leaders of the Coachella Valley
hospitality industry, including PGA
WEST's Carly McGarry, were
recognized at the Omni Rancho Las
Palmas Resort & Spa on November 30, during the
Champions of Hospitality Awards Gala.
Put on by Visit Greater Palm Springs, the gala
spotlights nominees and award winners in a variety
of hospitality categories, and McGarry was
honored as a nominee for San Jacinto Rising Star.
McGarry, who was promoted from Catering Sales
Director to Director of Sales in November, serves
many roles at PGA WEST, including managing and
pre-planning events, coordinating site tours, and
collaborating with chefs, F&B directors, and other
department heads to ensure the success of a
business outing, corporate function or wedding.
As for weddings, PGA WEST has much to offer,
McGarry said, from the menus to the views.
"We have the best chefs in the desert," she said.
"Each member of our team loves what they do,
and it shows. While we have some of the best back
drops, we also have a seasoned team with a
passion for events and close attention to detail."
For those looking to tie the knot in 2023, McGarry
sees a few trends couples should be aware of.
They include a unique venue or location, muted
color schemes with modern colors, natural florals
such as lavender, nontraditional guest books, and
"couples who get ready together!" she said.
