t was a great day on the golf course
for Geoff Dean and Rob Houk.
Dean, the Director of Player
Development at PGA WEST, and
Houk, a member, competed together in
the Southern California PGA Professional-
Club Member Championship on
Monday, November 14, at Palos Verdes
Golf Club in Palos Verdes.
They combined to shoot 3-under par,
finished tied for 16th, and had a great
time in the process. The experience is
just one of the many great benefits of
membership at PGA WEST, Dean says.
"Members get a chance to play with their
club pro in a competition and have a
chance at winning a big Southern
California PGA event," Dean said. "The
pro also gets a chance to create deeper
relationships with our members, and
everybody gets a chance to meet other
pros and amateurs from all over SoCal."
PGA WEST members also have access
to other competitive Southern California
PGA events, such as the Professional-
Lady Championship, pro-ams and team
events. Participants also get to play great
courses in Southern California.
"We enjoyed playing a very unique and
special course," Dean said of the event
at Palos Verdes Golf Club. "We also
enjoyed seeking to play the best as
teammates, meeting professionals and
amateurs, and each other's company."
