Championship on the line
The Southern California PGA
will hold the Professional-
Assistant Championship at
Classic Club in a Four-Ball
Stroke Play format. The two-
day tournament will begin
with a shotgun start on Mon-
day, September 26 at 12 p.m.,
and will conclude on Tuesday
with times starting at 9 a.m.
Contestants will also play on
the Gary Player course at The
Westin Mission Hills.

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 1
Assisting seniors
Classic Club will serve as the
site of The Foundation on
Aging's 10th Annual Charity
Golf Tournament on Saturday,
October 1, benefitting River-
side County seniors. Breakfast
is served at 7 a.m., followed by
a putting clinic and shotgun
start at 8:30 a.m. A $200 entry
fee includes range privileges,
cart, and lunch ceremony
with grand prizes. Additional
non-golfer lunch is $50.

Looking to the future
The Andre Tate Foundation
Golf Tournament will kick
off its 7th year on Monday,
October 3, at Classic Club.
Golfers can enjoy breakfast
before an 8:30 a.m. shotgun
start. The lunch reception
includes awards and a raffle
drawing with proceeds
providing scholarships and
funding for future genera-
tions. Tournament entry
fee is $150.

Swing for service members
In partnership with Patriot
Golf, The American Legion's
#21 Annual Charity Golf
Tournament will take place
at Classic Club on Saturday,
October 8, in support of U.S.
veterans. Golfers will tee off
at 9:30 a.m. in a scramble
format after a continental
breakfast. Tournament entry
fee is $250 and includes a
goodie bag, lunch, and dinner
to follow.
