La Quinta Summer Tour
kicks off at Classic Club
The La Quinta Summer
Golf Tour is returning for
another season and the first
stop in 2021 will be at Clas-
sic Club on Saturday, June 5.
Put on by the City of La
Quinta, the 13-week recre-
ational tour allows partici-
pants to compete at some
of the Coachella Valley's
finest courses with flights
available for men and
women.
Players accrue points
over the course of the sea-
son and the top finalists in
each division will receive
plaques at the Golf Tour
Banquet on August 28.
The fee to enter the
event at Classic Club is $55,
although Early Bird sign up
is available now for $45.

College coaches, aspiring
young golfers connect
Classic Club will serve as
the site for the College Golf
Experience on June 11-12,
an event that offers aspiring
collegiate players a chance
to build relationships with
university coaches and to
display their talents.
The event at Classic Club
is a showcase camp that will
feature coaches from the
University of Arizona, Pep-
perdine, LMU, San Diego
State, Santa Clara, New Mex-
ico and Colorado State. Dur-
ing the two-day experience,
junior golfers will compete
in a skills challenge and will
participate in simulations
for an 18-hole practice
round and an 18-hole com-
petitive round to see what
college golf is all about.

2021 Troon Challenge
qualifier set to tee off
Your ticket to the Troon
Challenge National Finals
can begin at Classic Club.
A regional qualifier is set
to take place Sunday, June
13. Two-player teams will
compete in a modified best-
ball shamble in gross and
net divisions for the chance
to reach the finals, which
take place at the Whirlwind
Golf Club and Ak-Chin
Southern Dunes December
11-12. The top teams in
each division will qualify.
The Troon Challenge is
open to members of the
Troon Card loyalty program.
The regional qualifier at
Classic Club is $220 to enter
per team and includes
green fees, range balls, on-
course contests and more.
