WELCOME BACK!
The course is open and in pristine condition for the season
I
always get excited about the beginning of the season in the
Coachella Valley, but this year I'm even more thrilled. After a sum-
mer of refurbishing the bunkers and a fall of overseeding, the
course is now open and our guests will return to a track that is in
pristine condition.
Not only does the course look good; it plays even bet-
ter. The bunker renovation and work by our Superin-
tendent and maintenance team have dramatically
improved playing conditions at Classic Club, and the
next time your ball happens to find a trap in the fair-
way or around a green, you'll notice the improve-
ments immediately when you enter the soft, white sand
and play your shot. As penalizing as a bunker can be,
these bunkers are now a pleasure to play out of.
And, if you need a helpful reminder of how to escape one of these haz-
ards, our PGA golf professional Jason Smith provides some helpful tips
in this issue.
In addition to the opening of the golf course, I'm also excited about
what we have going on at Bellatrix Restaurant this season. We have an
excellent Thanksgiving Day meal planned for those who would like to
celebrate the holiday with us, and we have an impressive lineup of wine
maker dinners on the calendar, where our guests can enjoy varietals from
well-known wineries as well as the culinary creations of the Food and
Beverage team. You can find out more about those in this edition. And if

summer, welcome back!
