olf fans who love to keep up
on the game with high-quality
golf journalism likely already
make Global Golf Post's free weekly
digital magazine a staple of their regu-
lar reading material. Now they can get
their daily fix with the company's new
subscription-based Global Golf Post+.
Readers can get access to the site's
premium content for a monthly fee of
$7, or $60 annually if paid in advance.
The advertising-supported weekly
edition will continue to publish each
Monday, and subscribers to Global Golf
Post+ will receive at least two fresh,
topical stories every day, without ads.
Since launching in early January,
Global Golf Post+ has featured profiles
on polarizing Golf Channel analyst
Brandel Chamblee and innovative
LPGA Tour Commissioner Mike Whan,
a story on the PGA Tour's oldest
rookie, and a riveting long-form piece
by veteran golf journalist Jim Achen-
bach on the unusual disappearance of
golf club designer Dave Boone, among
many other quality pieces covering the
game from every angle.
"Consumers have shown that they're
willing to pay for content online, as
long as it's premium quality – you can
see it in examples like The Washington
Post and The New York Times," said
Global Golf Post Founder and Pub-
lisher Jim Nugent. "We felt there was a
void in the golf media space that we
might be able to fill."
Along with Achenbach, Nugent has
brought in other golf journalism leg-
ends such as Ron Sirak and Jim Dod-
son to serve as contributors and to
provide the best golf content possible.
"In order to fulfill our promise to
readers to provide them with the type
of content they can't find anywhere
else, we have brought on some addi-
tional voices, and I'm very honored
that guys like these three have elected
to join us," Nugent said.
