What you won't see or hear in the coming months is Johnny Miller on NBC. The most remarkable, if most polarizing, golf analyst in the game exits the airwaves for retirement with the broadcast of early February's Waste Management Phoenix Open. Paul Azinger replaces Johnny – and will do double-duty with FOX on the U.S. Open telecast. Zinger can be as frank as his predecessor, yet without the "did he just say that?" surprise factor that often accompanied Miller's musings. Still, no matter who does the talking and explaining on the telecasts, it's the players and the courses that are the star attrac- tions in 2019.
