n GOLF IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN EVER
S
taring out at the large gathering at our annual
General Managers' Conference held in January,
I had to pinch myself thinking about how many
of the golf industry's best were in one room, all
members of the OB Sports Family. Seeing
the 100-plus great faces and talent that
we have in the company was a hum-
bling experience, and it's wonderful to
know how much we've accomplished
together to grow the game and impact
the lives of so many golfers. It's been an
amazing adventure getting to this point and
I'm looking forward to seeing what the future holds.
When it comes to the game of golf – both at daily-
fee facilities and private clubs – one constant we've
witnessed over the past few decades is how important
customer service is to the overall golf experience.
Everyday golfers need and deserve great venues with
top-notch service – and that's one of the areas where
we plan to excel in 2019.
When I was growing up, I was fortunate to have
had the opportunity to work at a course. I was taught
the right things and it gave me a great perspective on
golf and life. I'm glad I had the chance to see just how
great this game is at such a young age.
