f you want to shower your signif-
icant other with more than just
candy and flowers for Valentine's
Day, consider treating them to an inti-
mate dining experience at Bellatrix
Restaurant to celebrate the occasion.
Dinner for two will be served from
5-10 p.m. on Thursday, February 14,
and will feature a four-course
lineup of tantalizing selections
cooked up by the Bellatrix culi-
nary team.
The first course to get the ball
rolling is a choice between Blue
Point Oysters that are served on
the half-shell along with cocktail
sauce, lemons and a tart and tangy
ginger mignonette, or a Potato Leak
Soup with peppered bacon and crisp
buttermilk onions.
The Sweetheart Salad is next up
and features upland cress with pro-
sciutto, Humboldt fog goat cheese,
and spiced walnuts and raspberries
tossed in a passionfruit vinaigrette.
Then comes the main course –
which in addition to your beloved –
is something to admire as it offers the
choice of Pan Seared Chilean Seabass
with truffle honey risotto, wilted
spinach, oven-dried heirloom toma-
toes and a vintage cabernet syrup or
Angus Beef Tenderloin with sweet
potato gateau, petite vegetable med-
ley and cape gooeseberry demi glaze.
For dessert, the dinner will come to
a sweet ending with a choice of Dark
Chocolate Mousse with fresh berries
and Bailey's Whipped Cream or
Vanilla Cheesecake with a Pistachio
crust and goat milk caramel sauce.
A complementary glass of Grandin
Sparkling Rose is also included as
part of the night's festivities, which
are $60 per person.
