s the only private golf course in Borrego Springs, de Anza
Country Club has offered a tremendous golf experience
and all the other amenities of country club life without
pretense since 1957. Golf, social and discovery memberships
are offered, each at a fraction of the price you'd expect to pay
elsewhere.
Among the more than 200 members at the club are Borrego
Springs residents and those from all over the country and Canada,
and a common theme is their desire to "unplug" and escape the
hustle and bustle of city or suburban life for the serenity of the
property and its environs.
Bighorn sheep and other desert wildlife commonly roam the
property, which features a perfectly manicured 6,778-yard, par-72
golf course designed by Lawrence Hughes, an expansive practice
area and a beautiful clubhouse complete with formal and casual
dining options, a well-stocked golf shop and a fitness center. The
course is inviting for all levels of golfers, but can be set up to be
challenging enough to host two events on the developmental
Golden State Golf Tour each year.
New general manager Ramien Shalizi, a veteran of the golf and
hospitality industries, recognizes the pride that members take in
the club's rich history, and plans to preserve that while also breath-
ing new life into DACC with all-new food and beverage offerings
and new limited memberships and junior memberships in 2019
