ust because it's summer
and the snowbirds have
flown away until the holi-
days roll around next year
doesn't mean everything
shuts downs in the Coachella
Valley. In fact, Bellatrix
Restaurant at Classic Club is
featuring new summer hours,
a special seasonal menu and
a new three-course prix-fixe
dinner at two different price
points with something likely
to suit anyone's palate.
Daniel Moore, the Director
of Food and Beverage at Clas-
sic Club, said the summer
lunch menu highlights fresh
ingredients and features
lighter items suitable for the
hot days and warm nights.
There are unique salads
featuring seafood, chicken
and steak. The honey barbe-
cue salmon with bacon slaw
on a kaiser roll and the filet
sliders are very popular with
sandwich connoisseurs, and
guests can never go wrong
with the Bellatrix burger or
delectable crispy fried shrimp
tacos.
"Among the most popular
items are the Brussel sprout
salad, which offers a light re-
freshing option, and the Car-
denas chicken sandwich with
a vibrant basil pesto – my
personal favorite," Moore
said.
The popular prix-fixe
menu is offered Wednesday
and Saturday nights, and fea-
tures options at $39 and $49.
All meals come with a
first-course choice of soup or
salad. Guests can then choose
blackened Atlantic salmon,
roasted chicken fettuccine or
veal piccata for their second
course – or enjoy a half rack
of lamb, Chilean sea bass or
prime New York steak for an
additional $10.
There's also seasonal
cheesecake for dessert and a
glass of Chloe chardonnay or
Coppola cabernet included
with the meal.
Throughout July and Au-
gust, the restaurant is open
Wednesdays-Saturdays from
11 a.m.-3 p.m for lunch, 3-6
p.m for happy hour and 5:30-
7 p.m. for dinner. On Sun-
days, Bellatrix will serve
lunch from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
