19TH HOLE
BY roB lYon
W
hen you want to cele-
brate a great shot, a
record round, or time
spent with family or friends on the
golf course, one of the best places a
golfer can go is the 19th hole.
And at Tijeras Creek Golf Club in
Rancho Santa Margarita, California,
TJ's Cantina is the place to be,
whether you're wrapping up a day
on the golf course or just visiting
for lunch or dinner.
Remodeled and upgraded two
years ago, TJ's Cantina features a
spacious dining area with floor-to-
ceiling sliding glass windows,
amazing views of the outdoor patio
and golf course, a refurbished bar
area, and a 100-inch video wall for
watching sporting events.
The menu at TJ's Cantina in-
cludes everything from Mexican
favorites such as tostadas, nachos
and carne asada burritos to Califor-
nia chicken sandwiches, salads and
brats.
The bar offers 12 beers on tap, a
wide selection of wines, and spe-
cialty drinks, such as the Schooner
Margarita served with Grand
Marnier.
In addition to lunch daily and
dinner on select Friday and Satur-
day nights, TJ's Cantina also offers
specialty Dinner Nights with a
themed menu, Taco Tuesday, Sun-
day brunch and live entertainment
during the summer.

LATE OB SPORTS EXECUTIVE
T
he Dave Goff Pro-Scratch Invitational will take
place at Angel Park Golf Club July 8-9, and this
year's edition of the event will honor the memory
of one of OB Sports' longtime executives.
The two-day, 36-hole tournament features a
two-person best-ball format with teams comprised
of one professional and one amateur. More than
$17,000 in cash and gift certificates is
up for grabs throughout the event.
Sponsored by Nike and pre-
sented by E-Z-GO, the invitational
has been a staple in Las Vegas for
more than 20 years and has drawn
touring professionals in the past
such as Robert Gamez, Jeremy An-
derson and Ed Fryatt, to name a few.
Dave Goff (remembered HERE) was added to
the title in honor of the OB Sports Senior Vice
President, who passed away in March at age 59.
The entry fee is $450 per team and includes two
days of golf at Angel Park, golf car, continental
breakfast on Day 1 with Happy Hour after the
round, a breakfast buffet, and awards and barbe-
cue lunch on Day 2. There is also an optional $50
entry per team into a Cloud Nine Derby and an op-
tional $40 per-team entry into a skins game
