It's built on 700 acres and includes a
50-room boutique hotel, three restau-
rants, vacation rental properties, vari-
ous residential neighborhoods, an
event pavilion and a golf academy.
Its most-recent addition came in
2017 with the opening of Tetherow
Sport, which offers fitness
classes, personal training,
a sauna and more.
The architecture is
also unique, as the
chimney on the club-
house, which starts at
the cart barn and extends
to the roof, is the tallest in Cen-
tral Oregon.
"We're also right next to the na-
tional forest with numerous bike trails
and the Deschutes River is a few min-
utes away for paddleboarding and fly
fishing," Hume said.
Because it is located in Bend, with
all its recreational and natural out-
door amenities, the feel of member-
ship at the club is also unique.
"It's a pretty cool club with fun,
crazy events," Hume said. "We have
members who appreciate a more care-
free mentality. There's a lot of good
camaraderie and we build events
around encouraging members to get
to know each other."
Tetherow is a semi-private club and
while the public is welcome, the ma-
jority of play are members and resort
guests. Membership includes desig-
nated tee times, year-round events,
dining discounts at Tetherow's restau-
rants, and use of the event pavilion
that allows members and guests to
hold large-scale gatherings.
The three restaurants on property
include The Row, a family-friendly
gastropub; Solomon's, modern fine
dining with stunning views; and Teth-
erow Café, with a more laid-back vibe
and more grab-and-go options in ad-
dition to healthier entrees.
"We offer the kind of amenities that
you won't find at most golf clubs or
even some resorts, year-round,"
Hume said. "The sky's the limit for
Tetherow as we continue to grow and
provide the phenomenal service and
unforgettable memories and experi-
ences that our guests and members
have come to expect."
