The sports apparel company, which was founded in 2007, was purchased by Callaway Golf in 2017 for a reported $125.5 million. Not too shabby for a company that "was founded by people who col- lectively had no apparel experience," said co-founder and CEO Travis Brasher. "That allowed us to think and do things differently as we didn't know what the 'norm' was in the industry." It was that inexperience that helped turn TravisMathew from a dream into a line sold in golf shops and high-end department stores across the country, and that is sported by several players on the PGA Tour, includ- ing Keegan Bradley, Chris Kirk, Luke List and Patrick Cantlay. The company opened for business a decade ago with a simple mis- sion: "To make clothes that could be worn on and off the course and focus on the core colors of black, white and grey," Brasher said. "The goal was to be rooted in golf but to evolve into a men's lifestyle brand." Focusing on understated hues that emphasized comfort and elegant Patrick Cantlay is one of several tour players sporting TravisMathew on the course. fi
