IN THE HOLIDAY SPIRIT
Great golf, gifts and more highlight the season of giving
G
olf fans everywhere got an early holiday present at the be-
ginning of December when Tiger Woods returned to com-
petition for the first time in nearly a year to play in the
Hero World Challenge. Not only did the greatest golfer of our gen-
eration play – he played well, comfortably posting
three rounds in the 60s and finishing in the top 10.
Even with expectations fully in check, no one in
golf moves the needle like Tiger and it was excit-
ing to see him in the mix again; it's good for the
game. Here's to hoping Tiger's return to form is
indeed a gift that keeps on giving and we see more
of him on Sunday afternoons in the months to come.
And speaking of holiday gifts, you'll surely find

John since 1984 when I started working at The Golf Mart in San
