TRAVEL SoCal GOLF INSIDER continued from previous screen want to give golfers a little break, especially after that long drive up here from No. 4. You're in Cabo, so we want to make you feel on vaca- tion." Mission accomplished. Quivira Golf Club was created as an exclusive amenity for members and guests of Quivira Los Cabos, a 1,850-acre master-planned residen- tial resort community featuring four Pueblo Bonito resor ts, includ- ing a hotel of luxury villas available to rent by the night. If you want to spend more time and buy property, the Copala development offers ha- cienda-style condominiums and custom homes, and the Coronado development offers single-story, multi-bedroom homes overlooking the ocean and golf course. clicK Here for details. The Towers at pacifica is a resort within the resort at Pueblo Bonito Pacifica Gol f & Spa Resort, with 47 tower rooms and suites that feature private terraces, private butler serv- ice and access to a VIP lounge, to go along with the 154 rooms in the regular wing of the resort. Both are adults-only, all-inclusive resorts. If you want to do more than golf – always a good idea when accom- panied by your wife or significant other – there are plenty of other ac- tivities to enjoy. I passed on the beachfront yoga and morning cook- ing class (please, no wisecracks), but my wife, Cathy, and I enjoyed the "Hook and Cook" experience of fishing in the early-morning surf on the beach (we didn't catch any- thing, but a resort chef was on hand to prepare fresh ceviche, anyway); the Mescal and tequila tasting of- fered in a Tower suite; the massages at Pueblo Bonito Montecristo Es- tates; and touring differ ent model homes in the residential properties. All of the dining was superb: at the Peninsula restaurant in The Towers, at the Steakhouse in the Quivira GC Clubhouse and at "The Market at Quivira," a food court of various ethnic offerings with open seating at the Sunset Beach Resort, a sister Pueblo Bonito property. The service and attention to detail at our resort, as well as the friendly and smiling faces o f the employees, did not go unnoticed, either. Another highlight for us was a sunset cruise with Cabo Adven- tures (www.cabo- adventures.com/en), followed by a dinner on the beach behind The Towers at Pacifica, with waves crashing nearby and entertainers juggling and twirling flaming ba- tons. A lengthy conversation at din- continued on the next page > The sand dunes on the 12th hole at Quivira Golf Club.
