LEArn MOrE. • • • nOVEMBEr 18 The Arroyo Trabuco golf Tourna- ment benefits Faith Through Works Inc., a nonprofit organization that of- fers training, guidance, mentoring, teaching and giving to underprivi- leged children and their families. LEArn MOrE. • • • nOVEMBEr 20 The 8th Annual Military Apprecia- tion golf Tournament is sponsored by the American Friends of Our Armed Services. The tournament raises money to pair young Marines who are away from home with host families to celebrate Thanksgiving. More than 175 families will invite Marines into their homes this year. LEArn MOrE. • • • dECEMBEr 1 The palm springs united rams 3rd Annual golf Tournament raises money and awareness for a hockey team founded in 2013 and comprised of 9th through 12th graders who live in the Palm Springs area. It is based out of the Desert Ice Castle in Cathe- dral City and the district team is com- prised of student-athletes who attend nine high schools throughout the Coachella Valley. Its long-term goal is to pur- chase a building that will house and hold meetings, as well as serve as a clean and sober living house for those looking to improve their lives.
