Those who play less frequently can get new grips every three years, though any slick look or feel is a tell-tale sign that it's time to bring your clubs in. "The grip is your connection to the golf club, so they're very impor- tant," McMahon said. "A new set of grips can make your clubs feel brand new, and as older grips get worn out, it decreases the stability you have with your clubs.
