T
he Pacific Northwest has long been known for its natural splendor, amazing outdoor
recreation, and one of the most stunning coasts in the world. But lately, it's also
added a new feature to its glittering resume: world-class golf and first-class lodging.
And two of the best fusions of that are located some seven hours from each other on Route
97: Gamble Sands in Brewster, Washington, and Tetherow in Bend, Oregon. Both are de-
