ith winter weather now in the rearview mirror,
golf season is officially under way all across
the country. And the warmer temperatures are
sure to bring new opportunities for golfers – as
well as new challenges. Especially in places like Arizona, Ne-
vada and other parts of the Southwest – where in the months
ahead temperatures will climb into the mid 90s and even triple
digits – golfers will be thrilled to find themselves driving the
ball longer, but also must be mindful to adjust their games ac-
cordingly with other clubs in their hands.
Boyd Summerhays, the Director of Instruction at McDowell
Mountain Ranch in Scottsdale, Arizona, and one of Golf Di-
gest's Best Young Teachers in America, said there's often more
to making those adjustments than golfers may think.
