WINTER 2017
CAPTURE THE MOMENTS
The views of the Columbia River and the Cascade
Mountains from The Inn at Gamble Sands are inde-
scribable, and a cell phone camera won't do the view
justice, so bring a proper camera. The same goes for
the sunsets at Monarch Beach, and at courses like
Eagle Mountain or Sedona Golf Resort, you'll en-
counter wildlife from coyotes and roadrunners to
hawks and mule deer.
EXPLORE BEYOND THE COURSE
A golf vacation isn't just about hitting fairways
and greens – so get out and enjoy what the area
you're visiting has to offer.
Lohman suggests that visitors to Monarch Beach
visit the Bay Club and Miraval Spa, then check out
the restaurants and pools.
"Don't be afraid to mingle with the locals," he
said. "Visit some local hot spots or do something ad-
venturous like going surfing or paddleboarding."
Rose encourages golfers making trips to Scottsdale
to visit downtown to explore its many art galleries
and boutique shops, and of course experience the
city's world-class dining.
"And, make a little time to experience the Sonoran
Desert for yourself," he said. "There are tons of trails,
and they are all very accessible. There's not another
landscape like it on the planet – you won't want to
miss out."
Clockwise from top: Savor the views at Gamble Sands,
relish the beauty at Sedona Golf Resort, or enjoy the
outdoors in the Sonoran Desert or along the beach.
