The courses include Mojave Re- sort Golf Club, Huukan Golf Club and Point O'Woods Golf & Country Club. Here's a brief look at each: Mojave Resort Golf Club is one of the highest ranked courses in Laughlin, Nevada, a town built alongside the Colorado River about 100 miles south of Las Vegas. The 6,939-yard track, de- signed by Brian Curley and Lee Schmidt, opened in 1997. It plays alongside the river and its wide fairways and flat terrain make it ac- commodating, but tricky greens and water hazards add to the test. Huukan Golf Club, located in Fort Mohave, Ariz., was formerly known as Desert Lakes. It features mature trees that help shelter it from the wind that bedevils many of the courses in the area. It's just 6,444-yards from the tips, but tight fair- ways, plentiful water features and small greens ramp up the challenge. Point O'Woods Golf & Country Club is located in Southwestern Michi- gan. This private country club was de- signed by legendary architect Robert Trent Jones Jr., and will host the 2019 Western Amateur Championship. The course opened in 1958 and added a new clubhouse in 2013, making it a charming and captivating blend of old- school and contemporary. < Point O'Woods Golf & Country Club.
