NAMES IN THE GAME MEET THE NEW BOSSES Y ou may have noticed some new faces at American Golf facilities with general managers shuffling around at half a dozen courses. Here's a look: > brent boznanski is now at Lakewood Country Club, having worked at Coyote Hills for 8 1 ⁄2 years. > Jeff hwang is at Chester Washington, following turns at San Dimas Canyon Golf Course and Diamond Bar. > ian church, who's managed American Golf courses in Texas and New Jersey, is now at Knollwood. > Jose farfan is the new GM at Casta del Sol, after serving as assistant GM at Rancho San Joaquin. > david beyer, coming from La Mirada, is now running the show at Whittier Narrows. > eli ivey takes over at Lake Forest, after having recently worked across town at Casta del Sol. BRIEFLY IN THE NEWS chester washinGtOn GOlf cOurse Kevin hall nabs cOurse recOrd with scOre Of 61 C hester Washington has a new record holder, and his name is Kevin hall. Hall fired a nine-under-par 61 on the first day of a two-day tournament put on by the Advocates Pro Tour Aug. 20-21 to beat the previous record of 62. Hall shot a 68 on the second day of competition and birdied the final hole to win the tournament by one stroke over landon lyons. Heartwell Golf Course, according to the winter edition of Fore magazine's 2016 Best of SoCal Golf issue. The San Diego track has built two bunkers around the green on the 215-yard, par-3 17th hole, and has added sod to a large part of the fairways on holes 5, 6 and 8.
