PROFILE
achievement was more of a life-
changing decision I made five years
ago. Golf has always been my No. 1
passion in life, but growing up in
Montana, the sport is seasonal and
thus the same for the industry. After
being unhappy for a few
years making use of my
finance degree, I made the
decision to leave my
family, friends, and my
current management
position to pursue a career
in golf. There were many
factors that made the move
a tough decision, but the end result
of loving what I do for a living has
made it my greatest personal
achievement.
•••
what might someone be surprised
to know about you? I'm legally blind
in one eye after an accident three
years ago.
•••
what do you like to do when you're
not working? Golf and travel. Both at
the same time is even better.
•••
how long have you been playing
golf? 26 years.
•••
Best round ever? 66 at Bill Roberts
Golf Course in Helena, Montana.
•••
most memorable golf moment?
My second hole-in-one takes the
cake for sure. After searching for my
ball for 10 minutes on a blind-shot
par 3, one of my playing partners
located it snuggled up next to the
pin in the bottom of the cup. As if
that wasn't enough already, I ended
up winning the tournament by one
shot.

Best advice you have for someone
planning a golf event? Visit
golftournamentmanagement.com.
We revamped the site last fall, and it
is now more comprehensive than
anything you will find on running
tournaments. It has everything from
a calculator to get a rough estimate of
what your event would cost, to
hundreds of short articles and videos
produced by directors like myself on
every topic you can imagine.
