T
he stunning central
Washington-based
Gamble Sands golf
course is about to add even
more reasons to its list of
why every golfer
should visit – 37 rea-
sons to be exact, in the
form of spacious rooms
at the new Inn at Gamble
Sands. Slated to open this
summer, the Inn at Gamble
Sands will provide a beauti-
ful, cozy getaway for golfers,
and will allow more players
to enjoy the course.
"Gamble Sands is fairly
remote, with the closest
lodging options 30-45 min-
utes away and the closest
major cities, such as Spokane
and Seattle, between two
and three hours away," said
David Christenson, PGA
General Manager at Gamble
Sands. "Building the Inn
was always part of the plan,
as we believe that if our
guests could stay on site,
they would be able to enjoy
multiple rounds."
The Inn will include three
suites, 10 rooms with king
beds, and 24 rooms with
double queen beds, as well
as a Pavilion with a lounge,
weight room, and board
room. Outside the Inn,
guests can relax by fire pits
or in the large hot tub, enjoy
walking paths, and practice
on a large putting green.
"We created the type of
place where people gather
together at the end of the
day, share stories, enjoy re-
freshments, take in the fiery
sunsets, or just simply gaze
at the nearby Columbia
River and Cascade Moun-
tains on the horizon," said
Christenson. "The lodging is
very much in the Northwest
theme, and the Inn's over-
sized rooms perfectly match
the wide open nature of
Gamble Sands."
The Inn is located within a
short walk to the clubhouse
and pro shop. From there,
guests can play the award-
winning David McLay Kidd-
designed course that opened
to national acclaim in 2014.
"The spacious accommo-
dations and relaxing spaces
will provide a renewing
respite for those seeking
peace and quiet, while
still encouraging explo-
ration of the many re-
freshing outdoor
attractions found in this
unique corner of Washing-
ton, including world-class
golf," said Christenson.
